On February 15th, 2021, one of the co-founders of Fundacion Las Golondrinas passed away. Mrs. Luz Vieira de Arcila was a woman who gave her life to the service of others, an extraordinary human being who found the joy that comes from serving those most in need.
She was a woman who decided to get out of her comfort zone and learn about the reality in which many families in vulnerable situations live; without thinking about it, she began to work for the children of the Llanaditas neighborhood and to transform the reality of an entire community. She worked tirelessly to guarantee the children of communa 8 adequate nutrition and together with a group of friends, they decided to turn a forgotten and vulnerable territory into a space of culture and peace. Today it only remains to thank her for everything she did, for so many smiles that were possible thanks to her commitment to the community.
Thousands of children who have a more dignified life, thanks to her great work through the Fundacion Las Golondrinas.
