With the aim of preventing, detecting and acting against child abuse, violence and exploitation in its service units and the communities it impacts, the Las Golondrinas Foundation has initiated an exhaustive training campaign for all its educational agents.
Break the Silence, as the campaign has been named, seeks to train in the prevention, detection and reporting of child abuse of almost 700 educational agents who exercise their functions in the 543 service units (child development centers, schools, kindergardens, community centers, among others) operated by the Foundation.
"Our children are the most sacred asset of our nation, thanks to these training spaces, our educational agents will have more tools to guarantee the protection and well-being of the children that the Las Golondrinas Foundation benefits," says the missionary director, Reinel Arias.
To date, the Committee for the Protection of Children and Adolescents, led by the missionary director of the Foundation, has generated two virtual training spaces with educational agents in all territories where the institution impacts with its social work, as well as other two face-to-face at the Llanaditas and Picardías child development centers in Medellín.
