Development Social And Comunity

We provide advice and guidance to families using the School, as well as people from the community on the prevention of risk factors such as domestic violence and sexual abuse among others, cabins, wardrobe, delivery of nutritional supplements through markets, leadership workshops and general training to the community, seeking thereby to repair the social fabric and changing realities of individuals and families with a community projection. To do this we have 4 social workers who work together with the areas of psychology and nutrition.

¡We work for the construction of life projects!

Employment training

The men and women who live in the districts of the area of influence of the Foundation have low levels of education and lack of training for employment which results in a failure to enter the labor market in terms of access to a salary to help them overcome their basic needs.

This problem is further accentuated in women because many of them are female heads of household. Based on this issue we created a series of courses and training with the participation of the community and in agreement with the SENA: systems, baking, cooking, flat machinery, filleting machine, textile production, nursing assistants, technicians in early childhood, among others, accompanied by personal growth workshops as a way of promoting the development of labor and social skills in these people.

We energize human beings and we bring them alternatives of personal education and the development of personal skills.

Once trained, the Foundation promotes their involvement with companies; many of them create their own businesses such as bakeries and jewelry selling.

Center for Food Production and Employment Training

Center for Food Production and Employment Training

Since late 2008 the Foundation has the Center for Employment Production and Training, a place equipped with ovens, mixers, molds and all the machinery required to produce and train in baking and cooking. Every day about 330 bakery products are made which are used to supplement the refreshment of the students at the school.

The construction of this center was made possible thanks to the help of: Ema Sánchez de Londoño, Father Gustavo Velez Vasquez, Argos, Bancolombia, Suramericana, Protección and Nacional de Chocolates.

Building Lives Program

Building Lives Program

Our dream is to provide decent housing to families living in subhuman conditions

The dynamics of settlement in these areas characterized by the abundance of groups of displaced people, determines a composition dominated by constructions with materials not suitable for housing such as tables inadecuate plywood, cardboard and plastic, which led us to create the program of housing construction.

Since the initiation of the program we have awarded more than 200 prefabricated housing solutions and houses built the traditional way from the study of the specific needs of each family and the promotion of a decent and adequate space to allow the harmonious development of the family group members.

With $ 8,500,000 (US $ 4,250 aprox.)a family living in a shack of tin and cardboard can get decent housing. You can donate a portion of the money or the whole house; you can meet the family, feel the happiness of being at home before and after the delivery of the house.

¡Help us deliver it!

Cabins Program

One of the main problems of the families who inhabit these areas is overcrowding, as there are homes that have up to 8 members who only have one or two beds maximum.

Faced with this problem we created the program of cabins as an alternative to help lower rates of sexual abuse and improve the mental and physical health of household members.

With your contribution we will fulfill the dream of many families of having a better life $ 180,000 pesos per unit.

Community Closet Service

Community Closet Service

Due to the low income, unemployment and lack of opportunities purchasing power of the people living in these neighborhoods can not afford buying cloths, because of the unemployment and low incomes,. One of the main services of the Foundation is the closets at our three locations through which we give communities the opportunity to buy new and used clothing and essential items at low prices.

The closets are formed through donations of toys, clothing and various items used in good condition, which are collected to be offered to the community. The volunteers of the Foundation are responsible for providing this service.

Your company can be part of the Tulas (fabric bags) Campaign, we bring them to your company, there the employees lay clothing, shoes and toys and the Foundation is responsible for collecting them once they are ready.
