Education

In our educational processes we currently attend:

Foundation

  • 885 children in Pre-school
  • 875 children in Primary school
  • 50 children in high-school (job skill training)
  • 390 in Basic Processes

For a total of 2.200 children and girls.
In addition we have 280 children from 14 rural settlements of the municipality of Concordia, who are accompanied by the Foundation in a program of Family Environment.

 

Basic school Camino de Paz

Built thanks to the support and involvement of corporations and individuals who believe in the foundation and in education to achieve social development. We currently attend, from pre-school up to seventh grade, children and young people marginalized and displaced by the violence, which creates in these children and young people special conditions because of their young age and academic retardation.

Our education program is developed through three proposals:

Regular Formal Education: Includes the levels of basic primary and secondary education, offered at the three schools of the Foundation.

Education Formal Regular
Early Childhood: Offered through two educational proposals: Healthy Start and Institutional Environment with MEN and ICBF through the agreement 877, aimed at children aged 3 and 4. Early Childhood
Basic Processes: A program for children and young people with ages 9 to 15 whom have never studied, it is to level in a year their mathematical logic and reading-writing skills for their inclusion in regular classrooms ensuring decreased levels of overage and illiteracy. We have 13 sets of basic processes in 10 institutions in the City. Basic Processes

Our students at Basic School Camino de Paz receive:

  • Meals (school cafeteria for breakfast lunch and refreshments)
  • General medical care and nutritional monitoring
  • Counseling for students and their families
  • AccompanimentAssistance of social workers
  • Access to the Center for Culture and Community Training.
 

Center for Culture and Community training

The Foundation has a community space that allows the development of training workshops, cultural, games, recreation and research activities through the Cultural Training Center that allows our children, young people and the community in general to make proper use of their free time. There we offer the following services:

  • Literature and audiovisual materials
  • storytelling
  • educational games
  • reading
  • meetings
  • craft workshops

Each month about 350 users visit us.
